Our family business began in 2005 and ever since, we have continued to make our very own homemade steamed buns.
It all started with the story of our family member Rosy Susetio, who went travelling to Taiwan where she came across numerous Taiwanese culinary, one of them being the traditional Chinese steamed buns called “Bakpao”. From there, Rosy became fascinated and inspired by the making process of these steamed buns. Upon returning from her trip to Taiwan, Rosy came up with the idea of making steamed buns by combining authentic flavours from both Taiwan and Indonesia. The first store opened in 1983 and has continued to branch out to several different locations across Surabaya and even to Bali.
Then came Rosbun…
Since coming to Australia, we’ve decided to continue the legacy by opening up a homebased business named Rosbun which comes from the name ‘Rosy’. We keep the legacy by continuing to produce and sell our very own homemade steamed buns along with various traditional Indonesian food.
